Equine Therapy
Rider Position & Horse Training

The integrated approach because everything is connected.

One service that provides your horse with the highest level of care.

Do you ever ask yourself any of these questions?

  • Why does it go so poorly to one side?

  • Is my horse in pain, or am I imagining things?

  • Am I doing something wrong as a rider?

  • Am I sitting correctly? Could I be bothering my horse?

  • Why do the same problems keep coming back?

  • We’re training regularly – so why is it getting worse?

  • How can I work so the issues don’t return?

  • My horse gets better for a while, but the improvement doesn’t last.

  • How can I break this cycle?

  • I feel that something’s not right, but what is it?

  • People tell me I’m overthinking… but what if I’m actually right?

  • How can I help both my horse and myself at the same time?

  • My horse is recovering. How can I support the process?

  • I’m confused – how should I plan a training session for my horse?

  • I’m at a loss, nothing works. What should I do?

  • What steps can I take to keep my horse healthy and feeling good for as long as possible?

  • I want a single service that covers as much as possible.

Equine Therapy & Rider Position Correction & Horse Training

A combined program integrating three key pillars of equine care. Equine therapy, rider position correction, and targeted training – both under saddle and from the ground. All three areas are closely interconnected and influence one another. Sustainable, effective, and enjoyable work with your horse is only possible when all elements are in balance.

Equine Therapy (more info here) releases tension, improves circulation, and activates regeneration.
Rider position correction (more info here) helps eliminate asymmetries and unconscious patterns that directly affect your horse’s movement.
Targeted exercises (more info here) use the benefits of release to improve balance, stability, and core engagement – in both horse and rider.

This comprehensive approach is suitable for both recreational and competitive riders seeking long-term solutions, a deeper understanding of their horse, and a natural, functional, and sustainable partnership.

      Benefits of the Combined Approach

  • Immediate continuity:
In one visit, the horse is released, the rider is guided, and both are actively involved. No need to schedule separate appointments with different professionals – everything is coordinated and builds on each other.

  • More effective therapy:
Exercises following therapy prolong and stabilize the effects of manual therapy. The body doesn’t remain passive – new movement patterns are immediately integrated.

  • Improved body awareness:
The rider experiences how their posture affects the horse and can apply that feedback in training right away – enhancing sensitivity, coordination, and mutual understanding.

  • Prevention of recurring issues:
Combining all three methods helps prevent chronic problems that often arise when only one aspect is addressed (e.g., just the horse’s body without rider influence, or training without prior release work).

  • Empowering the rider:
Every session includes hands-on work as well as an explanation of why certain issues occur and how to continue working on them. Riders gain tools to maintain results between visits.

7 Steps of the Vicious Cycle

  • Unbalanced movement
The horse may shift weight to one side, avoid bending, etc. Causes may include uneven loading, poor surface conditions (slippery/hard/deep footing), unsuitable tack, rider imbalance, or compensations from past injuries.
  • Overuse of specific muscle groups
With repeated strain, some muscles overwork while others “switch off.” This leads to shortening and loss of elasticity.
  • Tightness, blockages, and pain points
Myofascial restrictions, trigger points, and stiff muscle chains appear – limiting mobility and flexibility.
  • Altered movement patterns and compensations
To avoid pain, the horse changes its movement style. Natural mechanics are disrupted, which strains other structures.
  • Fatigue, irritability, and reduced performance
Pain and tension lead to fatigue, frustration, decreased cooperation, and unwillingness during training.
  • Microtrauma and increased risk of injury
Structures are under excessive strain – leading to tendon and ligament overload, tendinosis, spinal blockages (e.g. thoracolumbar junction), SI joint pain, and hoof imbalances.
  • Limited recovery and chronic problems
If not addressed, the tension moves deeper into the body and becomes chronic. The vicious cycle continues.
